According to Variety.com, Rob will not be granting any backstage interviews at Comic-Con on Thursday. He will be there along with his costars, and he will sit on the panel. However, no interviews for our favorite star.
Thursday’s crazy madness will be the Twilight: New Moon panel. Heartthrob Rob Pattinson will appear (reminder: must pack earplugs) with co-stars Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner and director Chris Weitz, but lovelorn vampire Edward Cullen isn’t the main character in the movie, so Pattinson won’t participate in any backstage interviews. Summit is screening Twilight for the fans with cast members on hand. Summit is scheduled to film the third installment of the Twilight Saga, Eclipse, from August 17 through October 31 in Vancouver with David Slade (30 Days of Night) directing Melissa Rosenberg’s screenplay.

We have yet another set report, this one from Hollywood.com, titled, Vampires in Vancouver: All the Details From Our ‘New Moon’ Set Visit. This report seems to be the most detailed yet containing an enormous thirteen pages of descriptions and interviews. You can read below and follow the links for the entire report. Once again, this report is laden with spoilers, so read at your own risk.
May 7, 2009, 3:04PM The Vancouver afternoon is wet and gloomy. The peaks of the North Shore Mountains are obscured in fog. This is weather that might lure out a vampire. Or so I hope. I’m in Vancouver to find them.
Amid the gas stations, superstores and baseball fields of the industrial south side of the city is Vancouver Sound Studios. Our van rolls into the parking lot, and suddenly, I am at the epicenter of a worldwide sensation and a billion teenage (and middleage and every other age) fantasies. This is the set of New Moon.
3:36PM Our passes for the day say “USM,” for “Untitled Sports Movie.” Seems New Moon, which has been filming here and around Vancouver since March 23, is a major covert operation.
3:37PM The five other reporters and I are escorted onto Stage B. The soundstage is a massive warehouse filled by a nearly-as-massive set. On its outside, the structure looks like a plywood shell, but a glimpse through the door reveals an ornate marble palace very similar in appearance to a traditional Italian cathedral. I have entered the Volturri lair.

Jesse Eisenberg was recently quoted saying that since his “Adventureland” leading lady Kristen Stewart hit the big leagues with her mega hit “Twilight,” he’s not allowed to talk to her anymore.
Of course, Jesse was just joking, including his talk of a restraining order, now that Kristen has legions of fans, thanks to her blockbuster vampire fantasy film. The actor was all praises for Kristen, who made “Adventureland,” which was directed by Greg Mottola of “Superbad” fame, before “Twilight.”
“Kristen is just so incredible,” the boyish, curly-haired Jesse told us in an interview at the Four Seasons Hotel. “I was so overwhelmed for two reasons. One is she was only 17 when we made this movie. The other thing is that I was so surprised by how funny she is. We did a lot of improvisation. Greg was very encouraging. We did one take where we adhered to the lines in the script. Then we did several takes where we could say whatever we wanted to say, which was really nice.”
“She’s so wonderfully real and emotionally present. The comedy that I like is derived from something real. It was easy to play off Kristen. I was really nervous to start doing the movie because the relationship of my character and Kristen’s is so intimate. If we’re not on the same page, it could be disastrous. You have to be there for two months. Acting romantic is potentially very awkward.”
When asked if he and Kristen hung out together, this was the way Jesse answered: “It’s such a weird thing to do a movie. For example, I did a movie in Georgia (‘Zombieland’). None of the actors were from Georgia in the same way that none of the actors on ‘Adventureland’ were from Pittsburgh. So just by virtue of being in a new city together and living in the same apartment complex, you end up bonding in an unusually accelerated manner. So it was really nice. You’d work for 15 hours with everybody, then you’d go home and hang out together some more for an hour and then go to sleep. It’s a wonderful communal environment.”
“She’s great,” he added about Kristen. “There’s that cliché or stereotype of actresses being high-strung. She’s the opposite of that.”
